What should i do if i have a tooth that is way above rest of teeth, (can anyone say vampire) it is very?

noticable, what would be best thing to do, have it pulled, braces, but with braces it would take a long time to get it back into position, i am in my 20s.

My son has that problem, as well. He just had braces put on in May 07. His tooth was, as you say, way up above the rest of the teeth. It had been like that since it came in. He was going to leave it. He thought it was cool %26amp; kind of vampirish looking. I was ok with that, until he started to have problems. Over the last year, the tooth started to turn outward. His lip kept catching on the fang. It started to bother him %26amp; poke into his lip, causing some discomfort. So, finally he opted for braces. He is 16 %26amp; started treatment in May. Only 2 months %26amp; the tooth is already pointing down %26amp; it is starting to be pulled down into place. Best wishes with whatever you decide. :)
Reply:Braces are the best option, if you get it pulled it can actually distort your face, it can give it a sunken in look. Braces may take a while in the long run but pulling down those canines will only take a few months. You'd be surprised at how fast the change will be.
Reply:Perhaps the dentist can file it down and cover it with a veneer?
