my son's canines are coming in before any other teeth, is this normal?? we're starting to think he's taken the vampire thing for Halloween to literal!!
What teeth should be comming in first?
all babies are different! your baby is just special RAWWR!
Reply:the two bottom ones at the front
normally but don't worry
Reply:my brother's canines came in first. for most babies, it's their two front bottom teeth. i thought my daughter's canines were going to come in first, but she just has two lupms there, and they've been like that since she was 2 months old. her two front bottom teeth came in last week though.
Reply:While it is most common for the bottom 2 middle teeth to come in first, it is not unusual for other teeth to make their appearance first. I am mom to 4 kids, grandma to 1 and I have provided child care in my home for 20 years. I have seen a wide variety of ages when teeth first arrive and have seen several unusual teeth eruptions. I cared for twin boys and one of the twins had his eye teeth (what our dentist calls the pointy teeth that are also referred to as canine teeth) come in first. Yes, he did look like a little Dracula for awhile. His twin brother got his lower front teeth first. I have also seen some babies get their top middle teeth first and some got both top and bottom middle teeth all at the same time. So, while bottom front is the most common, not all babies get these first and it is perfectly normal.
